Dr. Beatrice Baldwin Joins ULS Staff
BATON ROUGE – University of Louisiana System President Randy Moffett announces the appointment of Beatrice Baldwin as the UL System’s Vice President for Research and Performance Assessment. President Moffett welcomes her outstanding experience in the areas of accountability and measurement.
“I have known and worked with Dr. Baldwin for many years. She brings a skill set to the System office that will enhance our strategic planning and measurement as it relates to reporting publicly on our progress in the areas of student access and success, as well as workforce development,” said Moffett.
Baldwin arrives at the UL System office after 22 years of experience in higher education at Southeastern Louisiana University, serving most recently as Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor of Educational Research and Statistics.
Her commitment to higher education across the state is apparent by the numerous boards and committees Baldwin has served on including her standing as a member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, where she served as Southeastern’s Accreditation Liaison Officer.
“I am very excited by this new opportunity to work on behalf of all the universities within the University of Louisiana System. In regard to the issues of assessment and accountability, there are numerous challenges ahead for higher education, and I hope my expertise will help the UL System universities address those challenges,” said Baldwin.
Baldwin holds a doctoral degree from Louisiana State University in Education Research and Statistics, a master’s degree from LSU in Administration and Supervision, and a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Clemson University.
She has over 20 peer-reviewed publications, primarily journal articles and book chapters in the areas of structural equation modeling, educational leadership, and classroom assessment.
