Presidential Search Committees to Meet Friday
BATON ROUGE - The presidential search committees for Grambling State University and McNeese State University will hold their first meetings jointly in Baton Rouge this Friday, Jan. 29.

The purpose of the first meeting is to review the charges to the committees, search processes and to discuss timelines.
Although this first meeting will be held in Baton Rouge, subsequent meetings will take place on campuses to gather public input regarding characteristics of the next presidents and interviews of candidates later in the process. Public forums have already been scheduled for Feb. 9 at McNeese and Feb. 11 at Grambling. Details of those meetings will be discussed at this Friday's joint meeting.
According to University of Louisiana System Board Rules, presidential search committees are comprised of board members including the student board member, a faculty member from the respective institution and are chaired by the UL System President. The Board Chair may also appoint advisory members to the committee.
The 11-member Grambling Presidential Search Committee is comprised of UL System Board Members Elsie Burkhalter, Edward Crawford, Mildred Gallot, Jeffrey Jenkins, Jimmy Long, Sr., D. Wayne Parker, Winfred Sibille, Student Board Member and Grambling Student Government Association President Steven Jackson and Grambling faculty representative Matthew Ware. Wilbert Ellis serves as a non-voting community representative, and UL System President Randy Moffett is the non-voting chair.
UL System President Randy Moffett also serves as the non-voting chair of the McNeese Presidential Search Committee. The 13-member committee is comprised of UL System Board Members Paul Aucoin, Elsie Burkhalter, E. Gerald Hebert, Renee Lapeyrolerie, Jimmy Long, Sr., Russell Mosely, Carl Shetler, Winfred Sibille, Student Board Member Steven Jackson and McNeese faculty representative Linda Larson. Non-voting members are McNeese Student Government Association President Tim Rye and community representative Bob Davidson.
