The University of New Orleans' main campus is nestled on the southern shore of Lake Pontchartrain, one of the world's largest salt water lakes. Formerly a naval air base during the Second World War, the campus is now home to more than thirty buildings, on its two campuses. Safely tucked into one of the city's more comfortable residential neighborhoods, the UNO campus is just minutes from the world-class food, historic charm and exciting nightlife of the French Quarter.
