The annual Academic Summit is a celebration of academic excellence at UL System Universities. It encompasses the system-wide faculty service-learning conference and the following student presentations: visual art exhibit, artistic performances, undergraduate research poster presentations and undergraduate research oral presentations.
Institutions in the University of Louisiana system increased their commitment to providing well rounded education opportunities to its students through programs such as the American Democracy Project and Campus Compact. Consequently, there was a need to establish a Service-Learning Council to identify and facilitate collaborative opportunities for its almost 90,000 students. Established in 2006, the Council meets quarterly.
The Journal of Service-Learning in Higher Education is an online international, peer-reviewed journal for the dissemination of original research regarding effective institutional-community partnerships.
