University of Louisiana at Lafayette

Teressa LeDay is the Title IX Coordinator at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In this role, she ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, including Titles VI, VII, and IX, as well as legislation addressing power-based violence. She is dedicated to advancing a campus climate that prioritizes respect, fairness, and the safety of all members of the university community.

Teressa holds degrees from Louisiana State University and the Southern University Law Center. She is certified by the Association of Title IX Coordinators (ATIXA) and the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA). Since beginning her career in higher education compliance in 2018, she has advanced initiatives across policy, prevention, response, and training.

Her leadership extends beyond the university through prior service as a member of the Louisiana Human Trafficking Task Force (2017–2018) and her current role on the board of the Louisiana Foundation against Sexual Assault (LaFASA). She also serves on the University Athletic Committee and regularly engages in system-wide initiatives. One of her most notable contributions includes hosting a collaborative tabletop exercise at UL Lafayette with the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, law enforcement partners, and fellow Title IX Coordinators across the University of Louisiana System to address the statewide impact of power-based violence.

In addition to her role at UL Lafayette, Teressa volunteers by consulting with institutions to support Title IX and compliance efforts through practical tools and available resources.

Teressa is married to Jeremy LeDay and is the proud mother of their daughter, Harper. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, exploring museums, shopping, and hosting family game nights.Shape
