Our Board Members

The Board of Supervisors for the UL System oversees nine public universities to meet Louisiana’s educational, economic, and cultural needs. The Board includes 16 members, 15 appointed by the Governor and one elected student representative, who provide leadership and oversight to keep the UL System focused on delivering high-quality education, expanding opportunity, and driving progress for Louisiana.

Board members of the UL System bring diverse professional backgrounds and a shared commitment to public service and higher education. Appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate, they work together to provide oversight, shape policy, and support the success of the UL System’s nine universities.

Their leadership reflects a broad range of experience across business, education, law, healthcare, and public service, each member contributing a unique perspective to guide the UL System forward. Their collective leadership keeps the UL System aligned with its mission: serving students, supporting campuses, and driving the state forward.
