The One System. One Mission. Strategic Plan rollout will bring town halls to our member institutions this fall. Led by President Gallot and UL System leadership, these events will share the UL System’s 2025–2030 priorities and demonstrate how they align with the work already happening at each institution. Faculty, staff, students, and community members will all be part of these conversations, with campus presidents providing important leadership and context from their institutions. Building on dialogue already taking place across the UL System, the strategic plan now offers a collective framework to connect those conversations and move forward with clarity, purpose and one shared mission to advance the state we call home.

Strategic Plan

The UL System’s strategic plan outlines a shared vision for the future of higher education in Louisiana. Grounded in the mission to transform lives through education, the plan sets long-term goals focused on student success, institutional strength, and statewide impact.

The University of Louisiana System (UL System) is committed to intentional growth, measurable impact, and long-term value for our students and the state. Through bold planning and transparent reporting, we track progress, respond to evolving needs, and strengthen our role as a driver of opportunity and innovation in Louisiana.

Priority Areas

The UL System’s strategic plan serves as a guiding framework for how our nine universities work together to deliver on a shared mission — expanding access to higher education, supporting student success, and strengthening Louisiana’s future.

Rooted in months of campus engagement and data-driven analysis, the plan focuses on four system-wide priorities:
