The University of Louisiana System is committed to ensuring that all members of our community can access and benefit from our digital content, services, and technologies.

As a system of nine universities, we recognize our responsibility to design, develop, and maintain digital environments that are inclusive, usable, and legally compliant.

Standards and Legal Framework

The University of Louisiana System strives to meet the following standards and requirements:

• Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA
• Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
• Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
• Applicable state of Louisiana accessibility requirements

These standards guide how we design websites, electronic documents, multimedia, and digital tools so they work for as many people as possible.

This fall reaffirmed that commitment, as hundreds of faculty and staff from across the System participated in our ADA webinar series to strengthen our shared understanding and practices. The high level of engagement reflects the growing momentum across campuses to create learning environments where every student can fully participate and succeed.
