GLOBAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM
We are preparing Louisiana students to lead in a global economy and bring that talent back home.
The University of Louisiana System Study Abroad - Global Scholars Engagement Program brings together high-achieving students from across our universities for an immersive international experience. The program provides many first-time international travelers with a transformative opportunity to expand access, build confidence, and prepare for success in a global classroom.
Why Global Learning Matters
Global learning gives students more than a destination. It gives them perspective.
Students who participate in these experiences often return with a deeper understanding of themselves, their field of study, and the communities they hope to serve. They learn to navigate unfamiliar environments, communicate across cultures, solve problems in new ways, and connect classroom learning to real-world experiences.
These are the kinds of skills that prepare Louisiana’s future teachers, healthcare professionals, business leaders, researchers, public servants, artists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to make an impact in an increasingly connected world.
