Board Member
Dana Peterson is the Chief Executive Officer of New Schools for New Orleans, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing high-quality education. He previously served as Assistant State Superintendent at the Louisiana Department of Education and as CEO of the Baton Rouge Achievement Zone. He is the founding chair of the New Orleans Career Center and chairs alignED New Orleans, a grassroots advocacy group. Peterson serves on the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission, as well as the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Houston and an MBA from Tulane University.
