Message from the Board Chair

The University of Louisiana System is one of the most powerful tools we have to strengthen our state. With more than 83,000 students enrolled today, our nine universities are preparing graduates to lead, solve real-world challenges, and fuel Louisiana’s economic and civic life.

As Chair, I have the privilege of leading a Board that takes seriously its responsibility to govern with integrity, plan for growth, and make decisions that reflect the needs of the people we serve. We are focused on keeping our institutions aligned with workforce demands, responsive to their regions, and accessible to more Louisianans.

Our responsibility is not just to preserve the strength of the UL System, but to extend its reach and relevance. I’m proud to lead a Board united in that vision and committed to expanding opportunity and securing Louisiana’s future.
