For Our Future Conference
For years, the For Our Future Conference brought together faculty, staff, and higher education leaders from across the University of Louisiana System to share ideas, explore emerging trends, and strengthen collaboration in support of our institutions and students.
As the University of Louisiana System embarks on its new strategic plan—One System. One Mission.—we are taking time to reimagine this event so it better reflects our vision for the future and our ongoing systemization efforts. The next evolution of this conference will focus on bringing our campuses together around the shared priorities that will shape the future of the UL System.

For Our Future Award Winners
Each year at the For Our Future Conference, the UL System honors outstanding faculty and staff whose work exemplifies excellence, innovation, and impact across our institutions. These individuals represent the best of what public higher education can offer, showing a deep commitment to students, colleagues and the UL System’s mission.
Faculty Excellence Award
The Faculty Excellence Award recognizes a faculty member whose teaching, research, and mentorship reflect the highest standard of academic achievement. Recipients are not only leaders in their field, but they are also deeply invested in student learning and academic progress.
Staff Excellence Impact Award
The Staff Excellence Impact Award honors a staff member whose leadership, initiative, and service have meaningfully strengthened their campus community. The recipient’s work reflects a strong commitment to student development and institutional improvement.
Agent of Change Award
The Agent of Change Award celebrates a faculty or staff member who is leading transformative efforts within their campus or across the UL System. This individual is recognized for bold ideas, creative problem-solving, and a commitment to meaningful progress.
